Burning Fish Games is excited to announce the upcoming Kickstarter launch of The Last Meow: Kraken’s Vengeance, a fast-paced 2-player strategy card game where cunning, chaos, and a very angry Kraken collide. The campaign officially launches on May 19, 2026.
Set in a world of pirate cats and ancient sea monsters, The Last Meow throws players into a tense 3-lane battlefield where every decision matters. Players must outthink, outplay, and outlast their opponent in a game that blends hidden actions, dice-driven risk, and clever resource management.
A Tactical Showdown on the High Seas
In The Last Meow, two players face off in a round-based duel. Each turn, players secretly place cards across three lanes before revealing them simultaneously and resolving the chaos that follows.
Victory comes in two forms. Destroy your opponent by reducing their health from 9 to 0, or outsmart them by collecting powerful relics and hoarding enough fish to secure an instant win.
With multiple paths to victory, every round becomes a strategic balancing act between aggression, defense, and calculated risk.

Fish, Relics, and High-Stakes Decisions
At the center of the game is the shared Fish Deck, where players collect fish each round to use as currency. Fish can be spent to activate abilities, boost dice rolls, or survive critical moments in battle.
Hidden within this deck are rare Relics, powerful, game-changing items that remain in play and shift the tide of battle. Collecting relics can quickly turn a losing position into a winning one… but it also paints a target on your back.

Built for Game Night Chaos
Following the success of previous titles, Burning Fish Games continues to deliver engaging tabletop experiences focused on memorable moments, strategic depth, and just the right amount of chaos.
“The Last Meow is the most strategic game we’ve made so far,” said Grayson Bullen, creator of Burning Fish Games. “It’s easy to pick up, but every decision matters. You’re constantly choosing between playing it safe or taking a risk that could win or lose the game.”
