THE GAME NIGHT GUIDE
Five Dragonflies. One very hungry crocodile.
A first look at the pond adventure before Kickstarter launch.

Pre-release rules preview. This guide covers the current pond rules; final edition details will follow the published rulebook.
YOUR MISSION
The goal.
Collect five Dragonflies and reach the Finish Dock before the Crocodile catches you.
01 · BEFORE THE CHAOS
Set the table.
Tick each step as you go. Your checklist resets when you leave this page.
02 · MAKE YOUR MOVE
Your turn.
Draw and decide
Draw one Frog card. You may play at most one Action card, either before rolling or after rolling both movement dice.
Leap first
Roll the Frog and Croc movement dice. Move your Frog first, up to its result.
Then comes the Croc
Move the Crocodile its full result towards a Frog, following the shortest connected route. A Frog crossed or landed on by the Croc croaks.
End the round
After everyone has had a turn, reveal and resolve a Croc Deck card.

03 · KEEP THIS HANDY
Rules at a glance.
Dragonflies
Carry at most five. Reach the Finish Dock with five to win.
Whirlpools
Frogs and the Crocodile can travel between matching Whirlpool spaces.
Spirit Pond
A player may revive another Frog once per game. The revived Frog returns to the Start Dock; the rescuer must travel back out of the pond path.
Dive!
The Crocodile leaves the board for one round. At the next Croc Phase, roll a standard six-sided die for the numbered Dive Spot, instead of drawing a Croc card. A Frog on that spot croaks.
Card timing
Read the full card text, including Defense responses. Playing an Action before the dice uses your one Action for that turn.
04 · SETTLE THE TABLE DEBATE
Quick answers.
One more question before you make your move?
Can I play an Action before and after rolling?
No. You get at most one Action card per turn, placed on either side of the roll.
Which die decides a Dive Spot?
A standard six-sided die showing 1–6. The custom movement dice are for normal Frog and Croc movement.
Is this the final rulebook?
This is a pre-release guide from the current rules draft. Final components, edition details and wording will be confirmed in the published rulebook.
